The Embassy Suites by Hilton Santa Clara Silicon Valley is looking for a hybrid Bartender/Server to add to their team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing beverages, serving beverages, and serving food to guests in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. The ideal candidate will possess:

• One year of server experience. Bartending experience is a plus!
• A pleasant and can-do attitude must work well in a team environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including Evenings, Weekends and Holidays!
• Must be available to start by 4pm for your shift
• This is a Part-Time role.

Wage Rate: $18.20 per hour plus tips.

What will I be doing?

As a Bartender/Server, you would be responsible for preparing beverages and serving beverages to guests, as well as food, in our restaurant in a friendly and efficient manner.  Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Greet guests and respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Mix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standards.
• Present and serve beverages to guests.
• Take guests’ food orders and make recommendations in an effort to upsell.
• Present and serve the food order to the guest.
• Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages to guests following federal, state, local, and company laws and regulations.
• Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change, and processing gift certificates, cards, and vouchers.
