About the location:

Set in the heart of the City, overlooking Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, Tower Bridge is the starting point for discovering London’s historic past, alongside its exhilarating present. This beautiful grade II listed building and former HQ of the Port of London Authority has 100 rooms, 41 residential apartments of which 31 units are in a FS run transient rental program, a stunning ballroom which has hosted the inaugural Reception of the United Nations, 5 meeting rooms, a stunning destination spa with 6 treatment rooms, hammam, steam, sauna and swimming and vitality pool, and a fantastic Food and Beverage offering including La Dame de Pic (French cuisine, 2*Michelin Star), Mei Ume (Chinese/ Japanese cuisine) and Rotunda (all day dinning, afternoon tea & bar).

 

 

Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge is looking for a  Sous Chef – Events to join our team!

 

The Sous Chef role:

As a Sous Chef – Events, you will hold a key management position within the kitchen department, reporting directly to the Events Head Chef. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquet culinary operations, maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency, and leading a talented culinary team.

 

What you will do:

  • Supervise daily banquet kitchen operations to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency
  • Select, train, evaluate, schedule, and coach team members to uphold Four Seasons standards
  • Manage labour and operating costs through effective scheduling, purchasing, and inventory control
  • Work closely with other departments to coordinate event requirements and ensure smooth execution
  • Maintain impeccable hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards throughout all kitchen areas
  • Ensure menus are current, creative, and aligned with client expectations and seasonal ingredients
  • Participate in regular meetings and tastings to ensure guest satisfaction and continuous improvement
  • Provide exceptional leadership and foster a positive, team-focused work environment

 

What you bring:

  • 3–5 years of culinary experience in luxury hotels or fine dining, with a focus on events
  • At least 1–2 years in a management or assistant management position
  • Formal culinary education or equivalent practical experience
  • Advanced culinary knowledge and a passion for excellence
  • Proficient knife skills, plating finesse, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
