What’s the job?
As a Village Reception Attendant, you are going to check in new colleagues as they arrive to the island, handle transactions related to staff activities, provide information about the area, assist with organising staff activities, coordinate daily housekeeping service around staff areas. Village Reception Attendant position requires professional attitude, spotless presentation and strict follow of privacy policies. You are there to create the warm atmosphere that makes our colleagues feel at home.
Your day-to-day
- Be the warm welcome to Hayman colleagues and third parties to provide that famous IHG values for everyone on Hayman
- Keep your knowledge up to date regarding staff and resort related information
- Actively support Hayman culture, showing respect to colleagues, acting professional and promoting staff activities
- Coordinate daily Housekeeping service around the Village area
- Start every stay right by swiftly checking guests in and out – take IDs, hand out room keys and provide concierge services
- Be the first point of contact for all staff questions regarding life on Hayman. Help them with anything from room issues to local knowledge, and loop in management when necessary
What we need from you
- Communication skills
- Your problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities, so our colleagues are proud to be a part of Hayman Family
- Fluency in the local language – extra language skills would be great, but not essential
- Literate and tech-savvy
- Efficiency and time management – Village Reception is a busy multitasking environment
- Flexibility – evening, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job
- Experience – ideally, you’ll have spent at least one year in a front desk or guest service position
- Strength – sometimes you’ll need to lift, push and pull big objects and heavy items not exceeding 32kgs. This can involve bending and kneeling
- Being task flexible – you will be involved in F&B, Housekeeping and Activities operation for Colleague Village.
