Sales and Marketing Intern

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

·                     Reporting and Intelligence

·                     Create and facilitate departmental reporting

·                     Work with sales leaders to capture operations, monitoring, and report on variances

·                     Facilitate systems auditing to ensure all systems are being optimized and utilized to their capacity

Reporting & Intelligence Functions:

  • Cvent + Business Intelligence
  • Banquets & Catering
    • Function Space usage
    • F&B Revenue per sq ft/per meal periods
  • Comp Set
    • Quarterly SWOT
    • Ongoing: Packages/Promotions > What are they doing? Ideas, Creation, Execution
  • Delphi
    • Maintenance Report: Open Prospects, F&B Discrepancies, Option Date Status, Account Activity

Sales Support:

  • Sales Blitz Support (Securing appointments, laying groundwork etc…)
  • Packages
  • Need Dates Calendar
  • Weekly PACE Reports/Production Update
  • Goal Workbooks; Monthly Basis

Marketing:  Assisting Marketing with implementing on-going campaigns and on an ad hoc basis.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Sales, Advertising, Marketing, or Business major
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

This job requires ability to perform the following:

  • Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
  • Type at least 50 wpm; proficient PC computer skills Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Communicating with customers, employees, and third parties
  • Use a keyboard to generate correspondence, reports, etc.
  • Handling objects, products and computer equipment

Other:

  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with clients and guests.
  • Reading and writing abilities are utilized often.
  • Basic math skills are used frequently.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

The salary range for this role is $22.00 USD. This reflects the minimum to maximum salary range. This range is only applicable for this job to be performed in NY. This is the pay we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
