JOB DESCRIPTION

The iconic Hilton McLean Tysons Corner is seeking a full-time cocktail server to join their food and beverage team! This beautiful, 458-room hotel is in the heart of Fairfax County’s business district and is five minutes from the Metro Silver Line!

The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum 1-2 years serving experience (ideally in an upscale or luxury setting) and have the polish/confidence to serve VIP clients! (especially around VIPs)! In this role it will be essential to know wine pairings and be able to upsell in addition to knowing the steps of service. Previous hotel experience would be considered an asset for this role!

Shift Pattern: candidates should be available to work primarily evening shifts, any day of the week/weekends/holidays as needed (weekend availability required)

Pay Rate: $12.12 per hour, plus tips

What will I be doing?

As a Cocktail Server, you would be responsible for serving beverages and/or food to guests in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Ensure knowledge of menu and restaurant promotions and specials
• Take guest beverage and/or food orders and input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system
• Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
• Replenish beverages and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations
• Ensure serving station is well-stocked at all times
