About the role
The In Room Dining Coordinator answers the telephone and takes food and beverage orders for in-room dining, maintaining exceptional knowledge of food & beverage menu items and preparation methods.
What you will do
• Answer telephone and obtain information necessary to process the guest’s order, describing the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods.
• Monitor mobile platforms and reply to guest inquiries in a timely manner.
• Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system.
• Coordinate delivery of items to the room by In Room Dining Servers.
• Properly and accurately close guest checks; record guest charges and gratuities.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Coordinate amenity deliver by ensuring that all requests are received, filed, ordered from kitchen and delivered.
What you bring
• At least 1 years of food and beverage service or coordinator/logistics experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary to perform the job; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Opera and Micros POS preferred/is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 30 lbs.
