Assistant General Manager

Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, ONVO Hospitality. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

Assistant General Manager

As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a key leadership role in the day-to-day operations of the hotel, supporting departments such as Housekeeping, Engineering, and Front Office. You’ll work closely with the General Manager to drive guest satisfaction, team performance, and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do:

Supervising and supporting daily operations, especially in Housekeeping and Engineering
Serving as Manager on Duty (MOD) as scheduled
Assisting in the recruitment, training, and development of team members
Creating an empowered service culture that prioritizes guest satisfaction
Monitoring and enforcing brand standards, safety procedures, and appearance guidelines
Participating in the creation of financial reports and helping meet performance goals
Supporting the implementation of preventative maintenance and deep cleaning programs
Promoting open communication and teamwork across all hotel departments
Ensuring team members deliver friendly, attentive, and efficient service
Being present in public areas during peak times to engage with guests and provide assistance
Attending and contributing to property meetings and completing required training certifications
About You:

You’re a proactive and service-driven hospitality professional with leadership experience and a passion for operational excellence. You thrive in a hands-on environment and are ready to take the next step in your hospitality career. You bring:

Previous hotel supervisory or management experience
Strong knowledge of hotel operations (Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office)
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
A guest-first mindset with a focus on team empowerment and service recovery
Professional appearance and ability to uphold company standards
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
A collaborative, can-do attitude and a drive to grow into a future GM role
