About the location:
Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor, perched on the spectacular Formentor Peninsula and surrounded by panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the stunning landscape, first opened its doors in August 2024 following an extensive restoration and renovation of the historic property, originally inaugurated in 1929 on a vast private estate. After its successful debut, the resort will reopen to guests in March 2025, reaffirming its status as a unique destination of luxury and elegance on the island.
About the Role
The In-Room Dining (IRD) Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the In-Room Dining department, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, personalized, and timely food and beverage service to guests in their rooms and suites. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to maintaining the highest Four Seasons standards while creating memorable in-room dining experiences.
What You Will Do
• Manage and oversee all In-Room Dining operations, ensuring seamless service delivery in line with Four Seasons standards.
• Lead, train, schedule, and motivate the IRD team to deliver consistently high levels of service and professionalism.
• Ensure all IRD orders are executed accurately, efficiently, and within established service time standards.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menus, beverage offerings, dietary requirements, and service styles.
• Collaborate closely with the Culinary, Stewarding, and Food & Beverage leadership teams to ensure flawless execution.
• Monitor guest feedback and proactively address concerns to ensure guest satisfaction and service recovery when needed.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and food handling regulations at all times.
• Oversee inventory control, ordering, cost management, and waste reduction within the IRD department.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation in IRD service areas and back-of-house spaces.
• Assist in developing service standards, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives for In-Room Dining.
• Prepare schedules, manage payroll inputs, and ensure appropriate staffing levels based on occupancy and demand.
What You Bring
• A dynamic, service-driven leadership style with a strong passion for guest experience.
• Minimum three to five years of experience in Food & Beverage operations, with prior In-Room Dining or leadership experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
