The Waitstaff is responsible to ensure guests receive professional, courteous, and efficient service at all times. He/she will warmly welcome and seat guests, present menus, answer inquiries, and offer thoughtful recommendations and upselling alternatives based on a thorough knowledge of the menu. He/she will take orders and serve food and beverages according to established standards and sequences; clear and reset tables; and work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to support overall hotel success.
The ideal candidate should have 6–12 months of experience in Food & Beverage operations—preferably with exposure to free‑standing restaurants—along with relevant internships or school training.Fluency in spoken and written English is required, and a Hotel Management education is preferred. He/she should also be proficient with the Micros system, accurate billing, and strict adherence to cashiering and cash‑handling policies—including verification of cash and credit cards.He/she will resolve guest and internal customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, maintaining positive relationships and following through to ensure satisfaction, while upholding brand standards and responding to audit results with appropriate improvements.
Beyond daily operations, the Waitstaff will maintain par stocks, ensure high standards of personal presentation and grooming, and comply with all hotel policies and safety, hygiene, and fire regulations.He/she will stay agile to industry, company, and hotel updates; attend required training and meetings; maintain professional relationships with relevant external partners; and perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
