Learning & Development Officer

Swissôtel Sydney is a premium five-star hotel ideally located in the heart of Sydney’s dynamic business, retail, and entertainment precinct.

Job Description

 

Swissôtel Sydney is seeking a passionate and driven Learning & Development Officer to join our People & Culture team. This role plays a key part in supporting the learning journey of our Heartists®, ensuring our teams are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to deliver exceptional guest experiences in line with Accor and Swissôtel brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, deliver, and support learning and development programs across all hotel departments
  • Facilitate hotel induction programs and mandatory compliance training
  • Support leadership development initiatives and internal talent development programs
  • Partner with department leaders to identify training needs and support performance development
  • Partner with managers to design and deliver effective departmental induction and on-the-job training programs.
  • Promote a strong learning culture that aligns with Swissôtel’s values and service excellence

 

Qualifications

 

About you:

  • A genuine passion for learning, development, and people growth
  • Previous experience in Learning & Development or a similar role (hospitality experience highly regarded)
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Confident using learning management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
