Job mission:

The Sales Manager is responsible for meeting the hotel’s budget across all segments focused on Luxury Travel Networks, covering strategic geographic areas with a business perspective of the home region. This includes acquiring, developing, and retaining accounts, and implementing the actions established in the sales action plan to achieve and exceed the quantitative and qualitative objectives defined in the Gran Meliá Colón hotel’s Business Plan. 

 

What will you have to do?

  • Support the preparation of budgets for the assigned segment and/or assigned markets and sectors, as well as in the preparation of the hotel’s Business Plan.
  • Monitor the achievement of objectives of the Luxury Travel Networks, as well as the Key, Strategic and Advanced accounts that are potential for the hotel, coordinating the follow-up of the latter with their Account Managers.
  • Participate in the strategic planning phase of the department and the preparation of the hotel’s Business Plan.
  • Develop and execute the actions established in the sales action plan to achieve and exceed the quantitative and qualitative objectives defined for the segment, geographic area or sectors assigned to the hotel.
  • Prepare the necessary reports for the Business Review.
  • Responsible for the preparation, negotiation, and implementation of Luxury Consortiums, Corporate RFPs, Tour Operator Contracts, MICE Agreements, etc., and negotiating directly with the client or through the Account Manager. Prepare the necessary Business Cases for acquiring new accounts.
  • Coordinate, with the Groups and Events Manager, inspection visits of key accounts or potentially large events, any requests for meetings or groups that your accounts/markets may make for hotels in the area, personally supporting the closing of the sale.
  • Travel according to the Action Plan representing the Hotel Colón Gran Meliá at luxury events, fairs, exhibitions or sales missions.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Degree in Tourism, Hospitality or Business.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the same role.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Luxury sector.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
