Banquet Head Houseperson

Located in the heart of Canada’s capital next door to the Parliament Buildings, the landmark Fairmont Chateau Laurier hotel in Ottawa is looking to fill a role of Banquet Head Houseperson.

Reporting to the Banquet Leadership Team, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Work with Managers to ensure an accurate Houseperson schedule is completed by every Monday evening for the following week.
• Completing the Set-up sheets
• Set-up of function rooms as per client requests and Fairmont standards
• Moving of equipment and furniture
• General maintenance of storerooms and public areas
• Moving boxes for guests and equipment, changing light bulbs, cleaning of meeting room facilities and public areas, assist the guests for any other requests or supervisors

• Schedule flexibility (early morning, late nights, weekends and holidays);
• Able to do heavy lifting
• Able to work unsupervised
• Must have knowledge of meeting room set-ups
• Bilingual is an asset
• Strong people skills
