We are now looking for a Director of Sales to join our brand-new team here at Radisson RED Hotel Reykjavik!

You will ensure that the heart and soul of Radisson RED beats loudly and strong. Innovative and ahead of the curve, you will create the REDvolution where our guests can’t wait to come back and experience the moment again, they will go social, where it’s constant snap and chatter. With this role we give you the opportunity to manage the hotel sales activities both in a hands-on and strategic manner.

We are currently seeking a Director of Sales to join our upcoming vibrant Radisson RED Hotel in Reyklavik. As the Director of Sales, you infuse our sales efforts with an unparalleled level of strategic vision, a results-driven mindset, and an unwavering passion for elevating customer interactions. Your role is pivotal in steering our sales efforts to new heights, and your ambition sets the tone for achieving exceptional outcomes.

  • Manages all aspects of the hotel’s sales initiatives.
  • Develop and execute annual commercial plans including annual sales and marketing plans for the hotel operation.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor set and performance metrics.
  • Identify, pursue and drive new business opportunities in target markets (corporate, group, leisure and M&E), with a focus on the local market.
  • Maintain relationships with key accounts such as corporate clients, travel agencies and event planners.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders in hotel operations to ensure a smooth handover of client needs on site.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Managers and International Sales team on pricing and promotions and negotiate rates and contracts with clients.

 

Qualifications

 

  • A proven track record in a similar role within hospitality
  • Commercially astute and motivated by challenge.
  • Skilled in market and data analysis
  • Good knowledge of the local market
  • Driven and ambitious to increase productivity and sales volume with appropriate techniques.
  • Organized and good attention to detail
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to enhance the hotel’s community image.
  • Good knowledge of M365 and CRM systems.
  • Professional proficiency in English required. Knowledge of Icelandic is a bonus but not required.
