The Hilton Cleveland Downtown is looking for their next Utility Steward/Dishwasher to join their talented team at Bar 32!

Full-Time

Shift Pattern: PM including weekends and holidays.

Pay Rate: $18.57 an hour

The ideal Utility Steward/Dishwasher candidate is a self‑motivated individual with at least one year of stewarding experience in a high‑volume restaurant, hotel, or bar setting. They must be able to work independently and efficiently while adapting quickly to the Bar 32 needs. This role requires supporting both stewarding operations and the bar team, including polishing and replenishing glassware to ensure a smooth service. A great attitude and flexible availability are essential to succeed in this fast‑paced, team‑focused environment.

What will I be doing?

As a Utility Steward/Dishwasher, you would be responsible for transporting and cleaning cooking utensils and service ware in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Wash dishes and operate the dishwasher to clean all chinaware, silverware and cooking utensils
  • Scrub pots and pans.
  • Support the bar and front of the house team with polishing and restocking silverware, glassware and plate ware.
  • Burnish, de-tarnish and polish silver.
  • Stock and maintain supplies and equipment.
  • Perform cleaning duties including, but not limited to, mopping and removing trash.
  • Prepare and place clean service ware for events and functions.
  • Support overall kitchen operations to ensure timely service and an excellent guest experience.
  • Train other stewards, as needed.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards, including proper chemical handling.
