About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, as the Barista you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience through the preparation and service of high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages, whilst providing friendly, efficient, and personalised service.

As Barista, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Preparing and serving a wide range of coffee, tea, and other hot and cold beverages according to hotel standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines.
• Setting up the coffee station and preparing daily mise en place, ensuring coffee, milk, alternative milks, teas, syrups, garnishes, glassware, chinaware, fresh juices and tools are properly stocked and organised.
• Ensuring the coffee machine, grinders, brewing equipment, and service area are clean, calibrated, and ready for service at all times.
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee and barista area, including regular sanitisation of surfaces, equipment, fridges, storage areas, and utensils.
• Preparing beverages with consistency, attention to detail, and proper technique, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, latte art, iced coffee preparation, teas, infusions, and other specialty drinks.
