As Retail Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to build and shape the retail experience from the ground up, leading a passionate team while creating a welcoming, engaging, and revenue-driven environment. Responsible for all aspects of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, team leadership, sales performance, and guest engagement, you will ensure that every touchpoint reflects the spirit of adventure, exceptional service, and luxury that define the Fairmont brand. What you will be doing:    

Reporting to the Recreation Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
• Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to Supervisor and Adventure Centre Associate staff
• Work closely with the Embark Management team to ensure daily leadership coverage and operational excellence
• Maintain a strong focus on the retail operation, guest experience, and overall Adventure Centre brand standards
• Create and maintain product knowledge resources and retail reference materials to support daily sales and operational efficiency
• Oversee point-of-sale systems and retail technology to ensure functionality, accuracy, and a seamless guest experience
• Quickly identify and resolve any billing discrepancies, inventory variances, refunds, voids, discounts, or guest service concerns
• Be directly accountable for retail inventory management, including receiving, merchandising, stock rotation, returns, and inventory controls
• Work closely with vendors and suppliers on product sourcing, invoicing, purchase orders, and payments
