Account Director

The Account Director – North & East Africa will be based in Cairo, Egypt, with a primary focus on business development and building new accounts. The role is responsible for identifying, managing, and growing high-value accounts for Hilton Worldwide across Northern Africa (Morocco) and Eastern Africa (Ethiopia & Kenya). This includes overseeing accounts at the local, national, and global levels, where relevant. The Account Director will develop and nurture relationships with a portfolio of corporate and Group customers, driving transient and group revenue. A key priority will be to penetrate new markets, establish a strong account base, and contribute to Hilton’s strategic growth in the region.

The Account Director – North & East Africa will work within the HWS Africa Team and will report to the Director of Sales, HWS Africa based in South Africa.

What will I be doing?

Planning Activities (20%)

  • Analyze local market dynamics to build a strong account base supporting Hilton’s global growth.
  • Identify and evaluate high-potential business opportunities across MICE and Corporate Travel segments.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives and clear communication across stakeholders.
  • Set long-term business goals and translate them into actionable annual plans.
  • Prioritize and activate high-opportunity segments within accounts to maximize impact

Organizing Activities (50%)

  • Lead resource planning, stakeholder collaboration, and activity oversight to achieve sales objectives.
  • Align account strategies with company revenue goals and develop targeted account plans.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key corporate and MICE clients, managing RFPs and group requests effectively.
  • Ensure transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders on progress, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Evaluate marketing initiatives and their impact on account performance.
  • Strengthen hotel partnerships and coordinate strategies across global and sub-account handlers.
