Assistant Restaurant Manager

In this role, you will be overseeing the day-to-day operations of Yoshoku, reporting to the Restaurant General Manager and overseeing 15 Front of House Team Members.

Find our Yoshoku restaurant through the Park Avenue entrance of the hotel, where an a la cart menu reinterprets traditional Japanese culinary practices through a contemporary lens. A refined Wagashi tea service will be available in the afternoon.

Classification: Full-Time

Shift: Various – must be available weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate: The annual salary range for this role is $60,000 – $80,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What will I be doing?

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you would be responsible for assisting the manager in directing and organizing the activities and services of a hotel food and beverage outlet to deliver an excellent guest experience. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Assist in the management of operations to include, but not limited to, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, cost controls and overall profitability, marketing initiatives, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation
  • Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counselling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
