ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees, supervisors in the Hotel’s Banquet Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.  Continue to motivate and engage long-tenured employees.  Focus on long-range strategic planning for outlet operation and development of the execution plan.

• Develop and maintain effective lines of communication with banquet and stewarding employees. The ability to be visible in the operation; assist when needed, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.

• Coordinate set-up requirements for hotel and off-site functions according to the banquet event orders and review any necessary changes with Catering Managers prior to the event taking place.  Connect directly with group contacts once onsite and relay all necessary information to Catering and Conference Services Managers, Banquet team, and Stewarding team to ensure that all details of the function are carried out.  Facilitate the quality and timeliness of all food items in partnership with the culinary team.  Provide our guests with knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience.
