In this role as Banquet Server, you will be responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to banquet guests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.
The ideal candidate will have previous food serving experience. Previous banquet luxury experience preferred. The ideal candidate must possess knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette. Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items. Some wine knowledge. Ability to read, speak and write the English language in order to communicate with guests. Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items. Ability to transport up to 50 lbs. on a continuous basis. Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment. Ability to carry three or more plates by hands. Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays. Ability to work a full shift (8 hours) walking and standing with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to obtain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) and California Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire if applicable to the position you are applying for.
