Cluster General Manager

Job Description

Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites are looking for a Cluster General Manager to lead multiple teams across a portfolio of properties, including Cairns, Townsville and Port Douglas.

In this pivotal role, you will bring strategic vision, operational expertise, and a people-first mindset to drive commercial success and deliver exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Senior Hotel Management and will lead by example and empower their teams to achieve success.

Key Responsibilities Include: 

  • Oversee day-to-day profitability, presentation and operations of multiple properties
  • Play a crucial role in coaching, developing and managing the property teams to achieve their highest potential
  • Analyse data to drive revenue, improve RevPAR, and reduce operational costs
  • Maintain accountability for the overall efficiency and performance of the properties
  • Manage body corporate and guest relations while maintaining compliance with brand, safety, and sustainability standards

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Extensive experience in multi-property or senior hotel management
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, with a strong focus on driving revenue
  • Strategic business acumen and commercial reality
  • A proven track record of maintaining excellent product and service standards whilst maximising revenue and minimising expenses
  • Demonstrated achievement in recruiting, driving and supporting teams to ensure a high performing team culture including an extensive portfolio in successful coaching and development
  • Passion for innovation, operational excellence, and guest satisfaction
  • Clear and confident communication, both written and verbal
  • Committed to continuous improvement and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
