Complex Accounting Manager

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Jose and The Juniper Hotel Cupertino is looking for a Complex Accounting Manager to join the team.  Please note that this is an on-property position.

The DoubleTree, boasting 505 rooms, is conveniently situated less than five minutes from San Jose International Airport and just ten minutes from downtown San Jose. Meanwhile, The Juniper offers 224 rooms and is located under twenty minutes from both Levi’s Stadium and the San Jose Airport.

Ideal candidates for this role will possess:

  • 2 to 3  years of hotel finance management experience
  • experience with A/P, A/R, General Ledger and payroll
  • experience with forecasting and budgeting are highly preferred

 

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

  • Oversee general ledger and financial reporting:  Reconcile General Ledger accounts, review discrepancies, and guide team members in resolving issues to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Provide reporting oversight:  Ensure accurate processing of financial reports, including month-end closing, monthly forecasts, and variance reports
  • Control budgets and inventory:  Track and manage inventories and operational expenses to maintain cost control
  • Supervise payroll processing:  Oversee timekeeping systems, weekly payroll submissions, gratuity calculations, and monthly payroll audits
  • Handle financial transactions:  Ensure proper processing of received checks, calculate daily deposit transmittals, and maintain financial records
  • Inspire and develop the team:  Supervise, coach, and mentor team members; conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and recognize achievements to build, retain, and engage a high-performing team
