Hotel Overview:

Located in the heart of downtown New Orleans, the Fairmont New Orleans will be an impressive new addition to Fairmont’s luxury portfolio, offering 250 luxury guest rooms, three food & drink venues, a swimming pool with expansive views of the city, more than 14,000 square feet of function space, and a 10,000 square-foot spa.

This property is destined to become an illustrious destination in the Central Business District, nearby the city’s renowned and historic French Quarter.

 

Job Description

 

What do we expect from you?

Reporting Directly to the Director, Sales & Marketing, the Director of Revenue is accountable for maximizing Hotel Revenues across rooms, F&B outlets, meetings and events, spa etc.

How your day looks like:

  • Closely monitor competitive pricing and understand the impact of relative pricing decisions on property performance. Performs competitor checks and reports as appropriate
  • Leads the weekly revenue and monthly revenue strategy meetings
  • Attends the weekly group pipeline meeting
  • Provides analysis of demand factors, competitive positioning and future outlook and trends
  • Ensures that the Hotels’ revenue management practices being used are consistent with hotel policies and procedures including Rate Plans, Rate Categories, Market Segmentation, Profiles and all other PMS/IPS related RM functionality
  • Prepares Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Revenue reports to include production, trends, booking patterns as well as channel analysis
  • Evaluates distribution channels including costs, commissions, number of reservations and revenue whilst providing potential reasons for the performance
  • Ensures that the revenue plan is updated on a daily basis, balancing all figures with the PMS and ensuring that all data input into the system is accurate.
  • Complete all rooms and revenue forecasting to accurately project demand.
  • Ensures that the Hotels’ position in the  distribution channels is consistent with the Hotels’ Selling Strategies, includes conducting rate and availability audits, and that rate parity is maintained across all channel.
