About the location:

The 123-room Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto is the company’s second destination in Japan, in the city’s historic Higashiyama-ku district, close to the Kyoto National Museum and myriad heritage sites such as the Toyokuni Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple. Local artists are featured throughout the traditionally-inspired modern décor characterised by an understated Japanese aesthetic. The Hotel has a spa and fitness centre with a pool, and four food and beverage concepts. There are also be 57 Four Seasons Private Residences.

 

 

Justification

The Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto is looking for a Food & Beverage Server in In Room Dining. Candidates with passion for excellence, expertise in hospitality operations and proven leadership experience are invited to apply for a career with Four Seasons. As a member of the Food & Beverage Division, the Food & Beverage Server works across disciplines to deliver an exceptional experience.

 

Responsibilities

Serve guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of food & beverage menu items as well as information regarding preparation methods.

  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
  • Coordinate amenity delivery by ensuring that all requests are received, filed, ordered from kitchen and delivered in a prompt and accurate fashion.
  • Answer telephone using courteous, efficient telephone etiquette while obtaining all information necessary to process the guest’s order according to Four Seasons Standards, describe the selection of Food & Beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods. Upsell efficiently in a courteous manner.
  • Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the Hotel’s point-of-sales system; and communicate with chef when necessary.
  • Check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; coordinate delivery of items to the guestroom by Room Service Servers in a timely manner to ensure food quality properly.
  • Accurately close guest checks; record guest charges and gratuities
  • Ensure food restriction is shared with Culinary team and delivery items are align with guests need, request and food restrictions.
  • Maintain costs by being mindful of wastage and limit over supply.
  • Upsell without affecting guests’ experience
