The General Manager, as the highest-ranking official in the hotel, will be responsible for the overall operation and leadership of the hotel team to achieve all objectives within the framework of company guidelines and policies. They will be responsible for the planning, coordination, management, and analysis of results across all departments and will oversee the implementation of Meliá Hotels International procedures and policies, as well as established goals and objectives. They will improve service quality, brand standards, and facility maintenance, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and corporate policies on sustainability and talent management.
What are we looking for?
- At least 2 years of experience as a General Manager in a resort of the same category and similar size
- Solid functional knowledge of all departmental operations.
- Outstanding leadership skills.
- Excellent management of human resources and talent.
- Strong sales and marketing skills and good knowledge of revenue management.
- Good knowledge of the areas of sustainability and environmental protection.
- University education (Business Administration, Hotel Management, Tourism or similar).
- Excellent level of English. Other languages will be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of the computer tools used in the hotel management environment.
