The Groups Director is responsible for achieving the budgeted room nights and occupancy targets as outlined in the annual budget and marketing plan for groups, tour series, and incentive business.
As Groups Director, your primary goal will be to meet the budgeted room nights and occupancy targets set in the annual budget and marketing plan for groups, tour series, and incentive business. You will effectively manage and coordinate all group bedroom bookings following the group reservations procedures. Your key responsibilities will include:
Adhering to the events and group yield policy to maximize revenue.
Collaborating closely with Sales and Events teams to optimize corporate and group rates.
Managing third-party sites and agents by setting rates, negotiating prices, ensuring proper implementation of reservation procedures, and maximizing conversion rates to achieve departmental targets.
Contributing to the hotel’s sales strategy and ensuring the department’s alignment with it.
Understanding the competitive marketplace and implementing strategies to keep the hotel ahead locally.
Developing team members by fostering a culture of high standards in relationship building, customer service, sales techniques, and contract billing and processing.
Building strong relationships with customers, guests, and team members to fully understand their needs and provide effective service.
Assisting in recruiting, managing, training, and developing the team.
Participating in the organization of hotel promotional activities.

Previous experience in management or supervision within the hotel or leisure sector.
