About the location:
The 123-room Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto is the company’s second destination in Japan, in the city’s historic Higashiyama-ku district, close to the Kyoto National Museum and myriad heritage sites such as the Toyokuni Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple. Local artists are featured throughout the traditionally-inspired modern décor characterised by an understated Japanese aesthetic. The Hotel has a spa and fitness centre with a pool, and four food and beverage concepts. There are also be 57 Four Seasons Private Residences.
The Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto is looking for a PR & Communication Supervisor. As a member of the Sales & Marketing Division, the PR & Communication Supervisor works across disciplines to deliver an exceptional experience.
About the role
The Public Relations & Communications Supervisor works directly with the Commercial Director in generating awareness of the Hotel through all public relations channels, including but not limited to print, online and broadcast media; social media; digital marketing, advertising; and special events and promotions.

What you will do
- Maintain professional relationships with local media and partners to support achieving the goals outlined in the PR plan, including the distribution of targeted media releases, media kits, pitches, and other PR related material
- Attend internal meetings for Food & Beverage, Catering, Spa, and Rooms and will be actively involved in maintaining communication and promotional calendars for each department
- Assist in the execution of an annual PR plan as an integral part of the Hotel marketing plan to increase awareness and positive perception of the Hotel, its spa, culinary programs, services, and personnel
- Translation of press and marketing materials in Japanese and manage translation in International languages as needed
