Senior Event Services Manager

 

About the role:

This position will secure and service all event business for the resort, through promotion and prospecting, while maintaining standards and revenue.    This position will coordinate all requirements for various events groups booked. They will be responsible for enforcing the terms of sales letter of agreement and guiding meeting planners through the planning process.  The Senior Event Services Manager will communicate the needs and expectations of the client with all departments in the hotel. They will negotiate with clients through the use of creative and attractive menu presentations and event proposals, to achieve both maximum revenue/profit potential and fulfillment of contractual responsibilities while satisfying client needs. They will review all function space with banquet team to ensure satisfaction of client at the outset of all events.  The Senior Event Services Manager   must be able to find solutions to any issues that arise throughout the planning and event process. This position requires a high degree of independent judgement and discretion in decision-making.

 

What you will do:

  • Actively solicit new business and respond to inquiries with the intention of confirming profitable catering business and achieving Quarterly Sales Goals.
  • Conduct property tours and entertain planners of meetings, social events, and weddings.
  • Plan assigned groups with excellence in detailing food & beverage, resort services, reservations, and group movements.
  • Coordinate the sales efforts between the sales department and catering to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues.
  • Finalize the requirements of confirmed bookings while maximizing revenue potential through up selling and ensuring effective communication with all departments for the success of the event. Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill review on completion of program or event.
  • Oversee the execution of banquet events. Ensure satisfaction of client at the outset of all events in tandem with Banquet and Culinary team.
  • Work directly with clients throughout the duration of the planning process, ensuring all event details are planned accordingly
  • Act as the liaison for all vendor/supplier related clients’ needs, (i.e. Audio Visual, Florists, Entertainment, Transportation, DMC, Off-site Locations etc)
  • Finalize the requirements of confirmed bookings while maximizing revenue potential through up-selling and ensuring effective communication, both written and in-person, with all departments for the success of the event. Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill review on completion of program or event.
  • Review all function space with banquet manager and when necessary, house attendant. Ensure satisfaction of client at the outset of all events.
  • Comply with Four Seasons standards for special events, while working harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and planning committee.
