Night Auditor

Job Description

 

Roles/Responsibilities

 

1. Welcome, assist, and attend to guest check-ins and check-outs during the night.

2. Takes responsibility for the duties and tasks assigned to the role, ensuring that all work is carried out in a timely and professional manner.

3. Collaborate with colleagues to maximize guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution

4. Develops and builds own skills, knowledge and experience at every opportunity within front office department, which aligns with the culture of growth, development and performance expected by the company.

5. Build and maintain effective working relationships, communicating with key stakeholders whilst promoting the company culture and values

6. Ensures adherence to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required

7. Handle guest requests, complaints, and emergencies professionally and efficiently.

8. Ensure lobby and front desk areas are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.

9. Maintain guest confidentiality and data protection standards.

10. Complete daily night audit procedures accurately and on time.

11. Balance all Front Office transactions including:

  • Room charges
  • Cash, credit cards, and city ledger postings
  • Paid-outs and allowances

12. Reconcile PMS reports with actual revenues.

13. Close the business day in the PMS system and prepare and distribute daily reports to management and relevant departments.

14. Monitor KPIs such as GRI (Guest Response Index), enrollments, and ensure compliance with BSA (Brand Standard Audit) overnight.

15. Support transportation coordination for VIP or early departure guests

16. Ensure room allocations for the next day are completed in PMS according to VIP status, preferences, and operational priorities. Coordinate with Reservations and Front Office teams to minimize same-day changes.

17. Review early check-in requests and ensure that assigned rooms are cleaned, inspected, and guest-ready before arrival. Liaise with Housekeeping and update room status in the system.
